Okay this is not where I saw it but I had to name this
something.
This will be part of a series (by name only) of caches with
the
question of animals I didn't see in California and just want
to
know what they are.
This one I spotted in Aberdeen when I was there a few days
ago.

What it looked like to me:
small 6" high
long body about 1 to 1 1/2 ft
long tail
dark fur
short legs
