The coords will take you to a large pavillion in Thomas B. George,
Jr. Park. This park is huge with Baseball fields, Soccer fields,
walking/hiking trails in addition to a huge playground for the
kids. Most importantly, there is a TON of room to cache and
picnic!!. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed......except those from
DOVER, of course!! There is also another adjacent park, Lamplight,
which has tennis courts, basketball courts and another small
playground. We will be invading both parks so there will be more
than enough fun and recreation for everyone!!
The days events will start at 10am and go till the last cacher is
standing. Lunch will start at 12noon with dogs, buns and condiments
being provided. If you would like some type of meat, besides dogs,
please bring it along. There should be plenty of room on the
grill!! Please plan to bring something to share with the rest of
the crew.....email me with your specifics and I'll post the list
here as it comes in. Also, bring your lawn chairs if you want to
sit, there are only so many benches.
There should be plenty of caches to find in the park (they will
published the day of with info provided at the picnic) as well as
the surrounding area. The number of active hiders in the general
vicinity provide adventure for anyone's fancy. NO CACHER LEFT
BEHIND!!
As I get more specifics I'll post them here for your
information. Hopefully we'll have a TON of giveaways so everyone
goes home with a few new "smilies" as well as some loot.
