Geocache Description:

At this site are the remains of the old Jacobs Log Cabin Inn.

During the 1920's this site was one of the many rest stops for the new automobile tourists that traveled this new road.

One of the main reasons for stopping here was the Jacobs Well, A natural spring that gave many a traveler a nice cool drink on there
way east or west on the Jacobs Ladder Trail.

The well (which is now covered) still gives its bounty of fresh water up to world but it is not recommended to drink anymore. It can still be
seen from the sign that you can read about this spot.

The old chimney from the inn can still be seen if you duck into the woods, but the area is posted and earlier this year when I stopped in
to look at the area, a State Trooper stopped and asked me questions about what I was doing and recommended that I not go back in there.
