Geocache Description:

Wilson Lake #1

( AKA Russell, KS #1 )

Wilson Lake-north of Bunker Hill, KS
(approx 15 minute drive north of I70 & about 17 miles northeast of Russell)

Very Short Hike uphill to Cache

The trip to this cache is partially on gravel roads so road conditions should be a consideration. Be careful turning around as you are quite a ways from town, should you get stuck and need any assistance.

I70/Bunker Hill Exit is at N38 51.495 W 098 42.384. Take 193rd to Balta Rd then east for the fastest route or stay on 193rd to the Wilson Lake Wildlife exit (Reservoir Road) for a slightly longer but more scenic route. There is some open range along Reservoir Road, so be ready to slow or stop for cattle.

The cache is in a half-gallon coleman jug painted brown. Initial contents are: logbook and pens/pencils. Treasures are: Mexican 5 centavos, small pack of playing cards, cars, 4 AA batteries, and a squeezy ball.

This cache is located less than a mile from the Post Rock Cache.

Keep you eyes open for Scorpions in the Wilson Area..
I have found a few of them in the area..
