Geocache Description:

Rehrauer Natural Area___ ___

This is one of the LCC July caches celebrating the Linn County Conservation's 50th Anniversary activities

In 2008, the Linn County Conservation Board will celebrate 50 years of service to Linn County residents. A yearlong celebration is planned to highlight all the outdoor recreation opportunities available right here in Linn County. In celebration of Linn County Conservation's 50th Anniversary there will be 50 GeoCaches placed within various parks and recreation areas in the next year. Some of the caches will reveal a "clue" that will enable you to be eligible for a special prize drawing at the end of the season (December 2008).There is one featured cache each month.

This is a featured cache. Be sure to get the number from the lid.

Additional information can be obtained from the Linn County Parks Website and the Iowa Geocachers Website.

The Rehrauer Natural Area is one of the newest additions to the the Linn County parks system. This is a beautiful area with trees and fields located next to the Buffalo creek and the old Red bridge. The cache is a regular sized ammo can loaded with the usual goodies. This cache is family friendly as are most of the other LCC 50th caches. It will be very easy for most geocachers to find. There are two other caches in this area that may be of interest to you. This will make the drive worth while. Check out the old bridge while here.
