This is a traditional roadside cache. The container is a plastic Tupperware and is clearly marked as a geocache. It contains the normal goodies and a pencil and sharpener is included. However, we did not have a stash note with us. We will appreciate it if the next cacher could include the stash note. Cache is at 1016 meters ASL. Cache is placed about 60 meters away from the old prison in the Swartberg pass. Unfortunately this is in ruins today. Please note that the cache is not at the old prison site. Therefore do not disturb any stones at the ruins. The prisoners that were kept in this jail were used to build the Swartberg Pass road and they were released after completion.
