Geocache Description:

This cache is accessible by kayak or canoe only. This can be a very high muggle area, so use lots of stealth if necessary. You're looking for a small Rubbermaid container (about 5"x5") covered in camo tape with a transparent green lid. There's room for small trade items. Expect to be on the river for 3-4 hours.

Calling all paddlers! This cache is located along Cedar Creek and is only accessible by kayak or canoe. The location of the cache is on a small island that is a popular stopping point for paddlers. If you can't get a strong GPS signal (heavy tree coverage), keep your eyes peeled for an island with a rope swing and a sandy area for landing your boat.

There are several different paddling routes you can take. The shortest route: launch at the main Double Trouble State Park entrance and end at the Western Boulevard takeout. This route is generally considered an "A" level water trail and should be well suited for beginners.

Be sure to pack a lunch -- Skunk Island is a great place to re-energize after a long paddle. This is also a nice spot for swimming or wading (be aware of the strong current). Try the rope swing at your own risk!
