Rock hop to avoid the fox tails.
Jump, don't step, to avoid snakes.
Of all the caches I have set, this is the one that I would expect to find a snake resting in the shade, so JUMP and come back to the cache.
For a long time I have been planning to set caches on the "Hermitage Road." That would make a nice seven or so mile loop trail for geocachers to follow. One could either start at the trailhead to the Gridley Trail or the Pratt Trail. I would recommend Pratt because the Gridley trailhead is subject to break-in. Traveling clockwise, one could get caches on the lower Pratt, Hermitage Road, Lower Gridley, and Shelf Road. At the time I am writing this, that would be 25 caches.
This is a large container, slid under rocks. And once again, if I was a snake on a hot day, I would hide under this rock.
