The Park
The Olympic Geocaching Picnic will be held in the
Chaoyang Park. It located of
the site of the former Prince's Palace in the Chaoyang District of
northeastern Beijing.
ChaoYang (Rising Sun) Park first opened in 1984 and covering an
area of some 320 hectares (3km by 1.5km) between the east third and
fourth Ring Roads, it is larger than the Summer Palace and, indeed,
is the largest park in the city.
A temporary
Beach
Volleyball Ground for the 2008 Summer Olympics was build in
this park.
To enter the park, a small admission of 5RMB has to be paid.
The Event
The event will start around 4pm between the trees of the
"Cherry
Blossom Valley". Unfortunately there are no picnic table
therefore you should bring a blanket to sit on.
