You will find this cache after a short walk along an old railroad track.
Walkers, bikers, and joggers use this pleasant Palmer path. Continue past the overlook (and ignore the junk heap below). One side of the track goes missing and then starts again. About 12 paces from the place where the track begins again, make your ascent up the slope.
Dr. Rose and I walked along this path on a glorious July 1st day. Through the trees we spied sandy cliffs up above with various-sized holes and we thought we'd take a look. The cache is located behind a cottonwood near the upper edge of the wooded slope. It is a steep, but very short climb.
You are searching for a small tupperware container in an obvious spot. Inside you will find first aid tape (which we hope you won't need from hiking to this cache), Memory match mini card game, Chugiak fire and resuce double key chain, cold-blooded geopin, AK thermometer magnet, a Pokeman card, and a very cool FTF Alaska Railroad pin.
