My freshmen year of college I was driving a friend to a doctors appointment on Lakeshore Dr. Well, we never made it there. Shortly before we got to the first Oxmoor exit my truck (which was older than I was) started smoking. It was coming out of the stick at first, and then before I knew it, it was billowing out from under the hood. We pulled off on the Oxmoor exit, neither of us had any clue where we were. We ended up making it to this truck place and then it totally died. At this point, neither of us knew what to do, so we went inside to ask the people for help. We explained the situation and the people just looked at us like we were crazy and asked us to explain again. It was a very confusing situation until the woman behind the counter asked us what KIND of truck we were driving. We explained, and they laughed, which only made my friend and I even more frustrated. It was only at this point that both parties began to realize what was going on. The whole time the people behind the counter thought that we were driving a semi-truck. HA! You can imagine what they had been thinking! These two crazy and frantic teenage girls driving a semi!! Haha! Oh, well. So here's a cache in memorial of that crazy day.
