This island is situated off Otamure Bay with a small sandy beach to land on. Parking and a place to launch a small craft with a 4WD is available at the Otamure Reserve ajacent to the DOC Camp.
To reach the island you will need a boat or kayak. In very calm weather, the more adventuresome, may try to swim or use a tube for access. If doing this and it is best at low tide and walk around to the next beach and go across at the shortest point.
