A 1818 metros de altitude, o terceiro ponto mais alto da ilha da Madeira, está localizado o Pico do Arieiro. Deste local elevado, a vista revela uma amplitude que permite aos observadores estenderem o olhar sobre a imponência única do Maciço Montanhoso madeirense, com o oceano Atlântico em pano de fundo.
Além da perspetiva ampla sobre a cordilheira central, a partir do Pico do Areeiro pode, ainda, avistar-se a Ponta de São Lourenço, o Curral das Freiras e, em dias de maior visibilidade, a ilha do Porto Santo.
At 1818 meters above sea level, the third highest point on the island of Madeira, is located Pico do Arieiro. From this elevated location, the view reveals a breadth that allows observers to extend their gaze over the unique grandeur of the Madeiran Mountain Massif, with the Atlantic Ocean in the background.
In addition to the wide perspective over the central mountain range, from Pico do Areeiro you can also see Ponta de São Lourenço, Curral das Freiras and, on days with better visibility, the island of Porto Santo.
