In the past couple of years, we've had a terrific time boating in the Gulf Islands surrounding Nanaimo. Just recently we were introduced to Valdes Island and Wakes Cove Provincial Park when we visited the very first cache on the island "Car Heaven". We couldn't resist placing a cache of our own, especially considering our handle! The graphic above is the artwork for our signature pathtag which we try and leave in interesting locations, including this beautiful island.

The cache is pretty easy to find, the trick is getting to the island, you'll need a boat, hence the terrain rating of 4. Once you're on land, its about a 2. Note that the cache page map will show the cache being in the water, but this isn't correct. Click on the Google Maps link for the actual cache location. Just come to Wakes Cove, tie up and dash for the cache!
