Geocache Description:

when forestrogue was known as little forest, he had many memories of this place. he used to go canoeing, hiking, and even camped out in this area.

one of his favorite things about this place is, when you approach from the road in the very early morning, and the conditions are "just right" the mist and fog come off the lake and gather in the valley, and it looks like you are driving off the very edge of the earth. it was a truly spectacular sight made even more scary during his 1½ hour daily school bus ride past here.

across the road from the boat launch and day use area used to be a provincially maintained campsite. it has long since been abandon however. the fire pits, picnic tables have been removed and a decade of neglect have made this area almost unrecognizable.

when you are walking in to this cache, (since you have to park outside the gate) if you look closely, you can still make out were camping sites used to reside among the thick overgrowth. The cache is a typical forestfyre07 military olive drab round fruit jar at the base of some trees. the log book has additional waterproofing in the event the container is compromised.

if you come early in the morning and are very luck, you will get to see a rare, and beautiful sight as the valley fills with fog and mist.
