If you like nature walks with pristine bluffs, crystal clear
water
that’s so clear you can see the Rainbow Trout swimming around
below, and abundant wildlife then this cache is for you. If you
are
afraid of spiders and snakes and all the other little critters
associated with the beautiful Missouri Ozarks outdoors then you
better go find yourself a cache in the city somewhere, because you
could run on to some of these critters along the way
As with any walk in the woods ticks are abundent at certain times
of the year along this trail. Tick repellant is highly recommended!
As the terrain rating reflects, you need to be prepared for
some
pretty steep climbing along the trail. The steepest parts of
the
trail are a natural stair step pattern of rocks and roots that
make
it pretty easy to climb. This is not the best cache for small
kids
and pets. if you take them with you be prepared to hang on to
them
in places along the way.
This cache is located just 35 feet off of the most scenic
trail
in Bennett Spring State Park. Stay on “The Bluff” trail until
you
get to the cache area. No need to bushwhack.
The trail this cache is on is only 1/4
mile long, and the cache is located about 1/2 way down the trail.
You will be walking approximately 1/4 mile to do this cache.
CAUTION
Conditions vary with
weather and water levels. Extra caution should be taken if rocks
are wet from snow, ice or rain. After heavy rainfall portions of
the lower trail may be flooded due to water levels in the spring
branch.
This cache has some cool swag and a
nice FTF prize.
Congrats to FRIED OKRA for getting the FTF on this one. Good job my
friend.
