Located near a favorite take out spot when we kayak the Black from Town Corner Campground. Also a great spot to start a flyfishing excursion.
This cache is placed a short drive from our family cabin. The Black River brings a little of everything "North" in the Gaylord area. I have seen elk on the Fouch Landing Strip, deer bedding down in the ferns and fish in the river.
I'm sure the spot will bring a smile to the "hometown" cacher and visitor alike! I recommend taking your time and enjoy the scenery before and after grabbing this one.
Ratings based on flucuations in the river's height and because the cache may be difficult to see. The stairs may be slippery because of dew or rain.
