About 3 km walking distance from Cesme, Turkey
This is the first geocache hidden in the beautiful town of Cesme, the westernmost resort town in mainland Turkey, which is a 1-hour drive away from Izmir. The cache is located fairly close to downtown Cesme within 3 km walking distance for the avid hikers.
To best locate the cache walk or drive north along the Cesme shoreline. The geocache is hidden nearby a well known hotel right at the shoreline at a very scenic spot overlooking the Haghia Saranda Bay. If you take the car you can park it at the hotel's parking lot (38 20.403 N, 26 17.511 E) and approach the cache from there.
The geocache is a 1-L plastic container wrapped in a red plastic bag. It originally contains a water resistant log book and pen (do not remove), 2 keychains, 1 Turkish evil-eye keychain, 1 protection case for glasses and 1 refrigerator magnet. The accuracy of the coordinates is estimated to be 3 m.
