The Akron Carnegie Public Library

Welcome to the Akron Carnegie Public Library



The Akron Library recently expanded it's own horizons in 2004 by building on a new edition to the south, giving the library twice as much room!


This is how the library used to look in the early 1900s. The Akron Library was started in 1912, and the cornerstone (located in the northeast corner of the building) for the Carnegie Building was put into place in 1914.


The cache is a magnetic key holder with just enough room for a log. BYOP.
