Geocache Description:

"Lest We Forget"

Memorial Multi

This cache is dedicated in memory of Joshua M. Morberg, 20, of Sparks, Nevada who died in Baghdad, Iraq, on December 27, 2005, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol.  Josh was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, based in Fort Hood, Texas.

Take your time, view the memorials, reflect on the sacrifices made by so many to insure our freedom and the freedom of this wonderful country we live in.

This Multi Cache was originally hidden on August 1st, 2005; however it has been revised due in part to changes and additions to several of the memorials placed around town.  I had to archive the original after the City of Reno relocated a couple of the memorials that had clues to the final location, where there was originally just a micro with a log only.  I had asked for the original cache page be reactivated, but after some discussions with RoadRunner it was decided that a new cache listing was in order so that those that had previously found the original micro could also search and get credit for the new cache location which is now large enough for trading most trackables.  In addition to some of the reworked legs, due to the City’s relocations of some of the memorials, there are a few added legs to this multi to include a few new memorials that have been placed around town since the original was hidden.

At the initial posted coordinates you should find a U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey Benchmark (Don't forget to log the Benchmark separately).  Stamped in the center of the disk are 8 letters & numbers in two lines of four characters each.  Multiply 0.062 by the number of the second character of the first line and insert in the northing below.  Insert the first two characters of the second row into the westing below.
