Geocache Description:

The cache is located on the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony property, about
a .2 mile walk off of the trail. You should park at the Theater and
follow the driveway to about 16 Whitehead Rd. This is also a travel
bug cache only. No other trade items plaese.

The Byrdcliffe Arts Colony was originally opened in 1903 by the Englishman Ralph Whitehead, and his wife Jane, after searching all over the country for the right place to build. This textbook example of a utopian Arts and Crafts Community is still open today for artists to come, stay, and be themselves. For more information about the now called Woodstock Guild, visit their website at (visit link) You can also see a picture of the map with the location of the theater, 16 Whitehead Road (#11 Evening Star), and every other building that you should visit at (visit link) and then click on self-guided tour a little ways down the page.
