Activ8 Cowal - Argyll Outdoor Recreation Festival
Saturday 26 July 11am - 4:30pm
Glenbranter, Argyll Forest Park

The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park are organising an event to promote the recreational opportunities in Cowal. The "Activ8 Cowal - Argyll Outdoor Recreation Festival"

The event combines the stunning natural environment of Cowal with the expertise of local and national outdoor pursuits instructors.

Confirmed activites so far are Archery, Mountain Biking, Canoeing, Orienteering, Fly Tying and Fly Casting.

There will also be exhibitions by Dunoon & District Fishing club, Scouts Association, Guides Association and Arrochar Mountain rescue

They would like to give people a chance to try geocaching and need some experienced cachers who are prepared to attend and take anyone who is interested out to the caches, show them what is involved and give them a taste of geocaching.

To claim a find all you have to do is attend and help a muggle become a geocacher. There should be a couple of new caches placed for the event that will remain in place.

Being the West of Scotland you're advised to bring waterproofs and midge repellent.

A couple of people have expressed an interest in eating after the Activ8 event is finished. The most suitable place at the moment seems to be the Whistlefield Inn
