We all Die Young
The cache is not located at the coordinates listed for this
cache. Follow the directions below to find the container.
This cache will consist of visits to two cemeteries. At each
cemetery, you will need to locate two headstones to obtain
information to get you to the final coordinates of this cache. One
of these cemeteries has been confirmed as an abandoned cemetery. I
would not doubt that the other one is but I am not positive. I met
the person that takes care of the abandoned one while I was
gathering my information. He informed me that there are at least 6,
if not 7, Civil War veterans that are buried there. When you stop
here, look for the flag-holders and flags to most easily find them.
A couple of the stones are carved in the same shape and have a flag
carved into them. Overall I am not a big cemetery person, rather,
it is more of the bits of history one may learn while at some of
them. For example, did you know that there is a corner of the
Oakwood Cemetery that has confederate soldiers buried at it that
died while being tended to war wounds in Troy? Anyways, read below
to see where you have to go and what you need to look for to find
the final container.
The final is located at: N42°29.3ab W073°27.2yz
1st cemetery:
Go to: N42°29.236 W073°27.670
Find the gravestone for:
Maria V., wife of HIRAM G. GIBSON
She died October 16, 1892
How old was she?
Go to: N42°29.224 W073°27.686
Find the gravestones for the Harrington boys. They are small
stones, grouped together.
How old was the youngest one when he died?
Subtract younger age from the older age. This is yz
2nd cemetery:
Go to: N42°29.753 W073°31.223
Find the gravestone for EBENEZER, Son of GW and CC Smith. This
stone can also be found in a small clump of stones. Ebenezer died
at a very young age. Find the year that he passed away and write
down the last two digits.
Go to: N42°29.753 W073°31.246
Find the gravestone for the Bird family. It is a rather large one
with a few names on it. Find the inscription for Alfred Albert.
Alfred also died at a very young age. Round his short life UP to
the nearest year. For example, if he was said to have lived for 8
years and 1 month, then this answer would be 9. Write down this
number.
Add the two numbers. This is ‘ab’.
Replace the information you gathered in the appropriate spots to
find the small container.
Now for some lyrics:
Risk my soul
Test my life
For my bread
Spend my time
Lost in space
Am I dead?
Let the river flow
Through my callused hands
And take me from my own
The eyes of the damned
It makes my stomach turn
And it tears my flesh from the bone
How we turn a dream to stone
And we all die young
And we all die young
Tell me I know
I lived so afraid
And still we cry alone
With words left unsaid
Yeah yeeaah, it makes my stomach turn
And it tears my flesh from bone to bone
How we turn a dream to stone
And we all die young
And we all die young
Yeah we all die young
Yeah, we all die young
Yeah, we all die
Yeah, we all die
Yeah, we all die
Yeah, we all die young
Yeah, we all die young
Yeah, we all die young
We all
Die
Die
We All Die Young, Steel Dragon
