Team Ninja’s 21st cache resides in a lovely picnic area hidden behind Aireys Inlet called Distillery Creek Picnic Area.
The area the picnic ground is in is part of the Great Otway National Park. This area of the park is one of the most diverse vegetation communities in Australia. Over 70 species of orchid have been identified in the area, making it one of the most orchid-rich sites in Australia!
The picnic ground has 3 walks leading out of it, the first is the nature walk, the second the walk up Ironbark Gorge and the third to Currawong Falls. If you do not feel like walking the picnic ground is a great spot to eat your lunch. There are picnic tables and fire pits with barbeque plates ontop if you need them.
Please be careful when retrieving the cache. Muggles can appear at anytime from both directions. You do not need to leave the boardwalk to retrieve the cache.
As always be on the lookout for snakes.
