Geocache Description:

Cache is along the old railroad/road to Port Aransas. They shared the same right of way! There were pullouts for the cars to "let" the train pass. You can still see remnant's of the low water crossings and now and then a railroad tie will protrude though the pavement. This section of road now is used to get to oil service facility's, and lots of fishing and kayak launching spots.

If you find yourself here thinking you will get to Port Aransas you have a problem. If you want a cache you are in a surprisingly good spot. The cache is a cammoed Bison tube, log only. Watch for critters, they have been seen about!
