Geocache Description:

I am slowly chipping away at the alphabet. I have had three caches in this park over the past four years. The first was a cool brass container with "Belmont" written on the side. Brass Belmont was an evil bush-wacker's paradise with poor reception for GPS's and a ton of places to hide a small container. This cache container ended up being some antique thing and was obsconded with. The replacement containers were very hard to hide and find. This was the first cache I hid that I considered a failed attempt to do our hobby justice (Never hide something smaller that an ammo can in the thick woods!). Later, I placed a huge PVC cache called BIG Brass Belmont. That cache was also a bush-wacking nightmare and ended up being found in the rain a few times and became mildewy. It was a pretty cool eight-foot cache, though. The third and final cache I placed here was Brass Belmont Box. This was a near-to-the-the-road ammo can chock full of goodies, but one had to precariously balance on a log to get to it. That cache ended up being bull-dozed into a pancake. Oh well. It is amazing that Bennett's Game, one of the first caches I completed, has lasted so long, especially since it is out in the open in this park!

Anyway, this cache is easier to get to than my previous hides here, and this cache has no B's in it's title (Perhaps that will help break the curse this park has on me?). The cache is dedicated to the servicemen who have represented our country. PFC Emory Bennett is who this park is named after, and he is the namesake of this cache. Though I do not always agree with the policies some elected officials have put into place, I do support the guys (and gals) who take their orders and follow through to the best of their abilities.

This is a well-stocked ammo can full of "E" items. An Energizer Bunny, some Energizer batteries, many eraser sets, electrical tape, and more. The cache is located right on a major path, so be sure to rehide the ammo box so it is not visible from the path.

This cache is available when the park is open. An off-road wheelchair might be able to get to it, but I doubt it would be easy.

Take care and On-On!

-No Blow
