In poetry, a stanza is a unit within a larger poem. (The term means "stopping place" in Italian.) In traditional English-language poems, stanzas can be identified and grouped together because they share a rhyme scheme or a fixed number of lines.
This geocache is hidden at a very lovely stopping place about 30 meters off the trail. It also contains the first stanza of the poem “Arethusa Adventure”, our unique version of a lesser known Greek myth featuring Arethusa as the main character. There is no room for a pencil, so be sure to bring your own.

Between the trees and the surrounding mountains, GPS reception in this area is terrible. The best we could get, after averaging 100 readings, was +/- 9 meters accuracy, which accounts for the 2.5 difficulty rating.
To help you in your search: the cache is hidden in one of a pair of large larch trees. The tree is between the drop off to the waterfall and the narrow part of an X made by two fallen trees and is about 4 to 5 meters from the drop off. The new container as of 2022 (camouflaged PETling) is hanging about 1.5 meters off the ground on a tree branch. Unscrew the lid and let the FANtastic Logbook slide out. The poem is still missing as of 2024. You may wish to check the spoiler photos before heading out.
