Geocache Description:

Most people wouldn't think it, but Arkansas has a history of earthquake activity. When hunting this cache, you will notice that the rocks are sitting oddly, in fact they're all on their sides. The creek across the highway from this cache has the highest density of fault lines in Arkansas, and the entire rock column has been turned on it's side as a result of activity in the past. You will be looking at the result of intense geological activity throughout this hunt.
The New Madrid Fault Zone, which is partially in northeast Arkansas, is the site of one of the most powerful earthquakes in recorded history. On February 7, 1812, a magnitude 8.0 earthquake rocked over a million square miles of ground, toppling chimneys in Maine and cracking sidewalks in Washington D.C. It was preceded by a quake a month earlier on January 23, and another month earlier on December 16. Aftershocks were felt for 5 years.
The New Madrid Fault began forming around 750 million years ago. Over 4,000 quakes have been recorded since seismic equipment was put in place thirty years ago. There is a significant chance of another 8.0 quake occurring here in the next fifty years.

To access this cache, you will need a four digit access code. Everything you need to solve the code is in this listing. Use all of the numbers above that have been written as digits and not spelled out (i.e. do not use 'thirty' or 'fifty' or 'million'). There is a further hint below if you need it. Oh, and the lock can still feel locked even when it's unlocked, so give it a good tug before you give up.
EDIT: To make it clearer how to open, the lock holds the cable in place, not the lid shut. When you get the right code in, pull the cable out of the lock. The lid should open then.

When you get there, your GPS may tell you to go up a driveway marked 'private drive.' Don't go that way. The trail is in the middle of the fork in the road where the driveway meets the road. The climb is short but steep, steep enough that using your hands isn't *required* but they're definitely a big help. The cache is on top so don't even worry about following your GPS till you're on top.

Since this is a geology themed cache it includes lots of neat rocks I've gathered from my travels. Continuing the theme with your traded items is welcome but not required.

Take a moment to enjoy the view. To the north you can see the tops of the Paris courthouse and St Josephs church.
