Tar Branch Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

david&diana: The area has been roped off with red tape and needs repair. It has deteriorated since the cache was originally placed. We don't know if or when it will ever be fixed so it will be a nice place to visit. So it is with great sadness that we must archive the cache.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The cache is the third in our series on masonry vaulted arch bridges in Winston-Salem. These are some of the oldest surviving bridges in the state and date back to the 1880’s. The bridges are public-works projects from the Salem Town period, before the towns of Salem and Winston were merged in 1913.

We know cachers pick up trash and take care to leave no trace but we've been asked to remind people not to throw things in the water, pollute or destroy the path. Please help keep this area clean so the cache can remain here.
