This cache was placed along the Horton Spring Trail
From Payson drive East on SR 260 for 16 miles. Take the road to
the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery. About 1 mile up the road you will
see the Tonto Creek Campground, just beyond that you will cross a
bridge, park in the parking area on the left. The trail begins
across the road in the campground. The cache is about 2.7 miles
from the parking
After logging this cache continue on to
To the Springs which is about 1 mile further down the trail and
well worth the extra hike. It is a great hike with some awesome
scenery. Bring plenty of water as it is quite the climb in
elevation.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU AT LEAST GIVE
THE PICTURE A REALLY GOOD LOOK, BETTER TO PRINT IT AND TAKE IT WITH
YOU, BEFORE SEARCHING OUT THIS CACHE
- The cache is a camo'd 48 ounce peanut
butter jar
- you will find it between the trail and the creek
- when you see the falls that are in the pic below you will know
you are there
