Geocache Description:

Cache is in Torrey Pines on the Parry Grove loop. Please don't be discouraged by the sign leading down to the trail that warns for difficulty. Once you get down to the trail the loop is easy. Climbing back up is a bit challenging but nothing to shy away from. This is a great little loop, virtually muggle free and peaceful, however please use stealth when finding and replacing the cache. Please find using ground level and please rehide better than you found it.

This cache is dedicated to my Grandma Sopko. She was born on July 18, 1924 and passed away last March. My Grandma Sopko was very beautiful….movie star beautiful. She was also very unique, had a striking personality, was really funny without trying to be and she was loved (and is still loved) by so many (especially her grandkids). Anyone that was fortunate enough to meet her will never forget her.

In her younger days, my Grandma loved going to the beach (back home in NW IN on Lake Michigan) hence the beach theme to this cache. As you find the cache take a couple seconds to look inside the lid at the small black and white picture of her at the beach with my dad when he was a kid.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Original Contents:

FTF: $25 Gift Card to Macy’s (my Grandma loved to shop and she was very generous taking us shopping all the time, for any reason at all. I remember at one of my high school track meets she stood there and each lap I went by she yelled out, “Lisa if you win this race we’ll go shopping for bathing suits”. She loved L.S. Ayres (the IN version of Macy’s) and everyone there knew her and all the grandkids by name.)

1 beach ball
1 travel size sunscreen and lotion
2 lip glosses
2 packs of retro looking shell magnets
4 packets of beach stickers
Handful of shells
Logbook and pen
