Rumor has it that Ballard Mill Marina is on the site of an old shingle mill that suffered an explosion which sent huge logs into the water surrounding the mill. According to divers who have worked in the area, the logs can still be seen resting in the mud under the boats.
The friendly kitty that hangs out is dearly loved by a family on A dock, loves people, eats dogs for lunch (just kidding--some of her best friends are dogs), and probably will tell you where the cache is if you ask her.
