Along the Bohn Lake segment of the Ice Age Trail.
This segment of the Ice Age Trail was recently completed and provides access to Bohn Lake. The trails are well marked and easily accessed, but also are natural paths through wooded area, so they are not perfectly smooth. As with all segments of the Ice Age trail please observe all rules regarding accessing grounds and pets.
You will be looking for a medium sized ammo can that contains a log book, pens, pencils, and many goodies for swapping. This cache is kid friendly. I Intend to use this cache as a TB drop/swap on occasion, so feel free to allow hitchhiker visits. The cache is near the trail, but leaving the trail may cut a short distance off the hike. However, I encourage you to stay on the trail until you get close to the water as this particular trail offers many opportunities for wildlife viewing.
This cache being near water, I highly recommend skeeter protection. Also, the Ice Age Trail is closed during gun deer season. Please use caution and wear bright colors during all other hunting seasons.
The Geocache notification form has been filled out and sent to Paul Samerdyke at the DNR service center in Wautoma, WI for approval. As with any cache placed on state DNR lands a Geocache placement form must be sent to the DNR prior to placing any cache. To obtain the proper form 2500-118, it may be printed off the WI DNR website.
