(LAT)Sauleskalns ir izcils kalns Latgales ainava, kas ir 60 m augsts, bet virs juras limena ta augstums sasniedz 211 m. Kalns sastav no vairakiem paaugstinajumiem. Ta pakajes saules apspideti mirdz Dridža, Varaklanu, Solnas, Velna, Saules, Joda un daudzi citi ezeri. Sauleskalns uzskatams par latgalu seno kulta centru, kuram bija nozime ne tikai tuvakos novados, bet daudz plašakos apgabalos. No kalna virsotnes paveras plaša un krašna apkartnes panorama – tuvakas un talakas apkaimes, ezeri mijas ar birztalam, druvam, bet pie apvaršna tie saplust ar debesu zilgmi.
(ENG)Sauleskalns (Sunill) is an outstanding hill in landscape of Latgale, it is 60 m high, but its height up to see level is 211 m. Hill contains several platforms. Sun of hill-foot shines on Dridža, Varaklanu, Solnas, Velna, Saules, Joda and other lakes. Sauleskalns is considered as a center of ancient Latgalian cults. It was significant not only in close district but further as well. From here a sweeping panorama opens up – closest and further district, lakes and groves, fields, but at the horizon they meets with blue sky.
