A short offset multi-cache on the Town & Country Trail in Ross-on-Wye. The co-ordinates are for the first stage of the cache and also recommended parking area.
The initial cache is a very small “urban” nano – the “Town” part. This provides the co-ordinates for the second and final traditional “Country” cache. The walk is less than 2 miles round-trip. The cache contains the usual swappables – put together by our geokids – Michael and Niamh. This is our first cache, so any feedback welcome.
The Town & Country Trail is a gentle stroll with great views of Penyard Hill, Chase Hill and Merrivale Woods. The trail is bisected by the Wye Valley Walk, and also passes close by Alton Court. The trail is relatively flat and well maintained, and is suitable for wheelchair users – although the final cache is 5m or so off the trail, and is not wheelchair accessible. The area is popular with dog walkers, so stealth may be required from time to time, as well as a lookout underfoot!
Please ensure the cache is well re-hidden and covered with leaves, sticks etc…
