Geocache Description:

The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum is located in an ex Royal Navy stores depot at Lathalmond, near Dunfermline, Fife and is open to visitors from 12:30 - 5pm on Sundays from Easter until late September / early October and has been at Lathalmond since 1995.

It is now the acknowledged focal point of historic bus restoration and operation in Scotland and houses, on a 49-acre site, around 170 vehicles. Most of these vehicles are of Scottish origin and are in varying levels of condition, from dilapidated to fully restored.
Visitors are taken on a guided tour of the site and the storage sheds in a vintage bus, starting and ending at the Display Hall - where visitors can spend as much time as they wish. The Display Hall accommodates several buses in ideal conditions for taking photographs and getting an all-round view, and houses the museum cafe and shop.
The highlight of the year is the 'Open Weekend' which sees the on-site vehicle numbers greatly increased by visiting buses and commercial vehicles.
