Geocache Description:

A cache and dash involving either one of the two most iconic means of communication ever placed on the streets of Britain. This series is dedicated to interesting places within the County of Wiltshire.

This cache is situated in the small hamlet of Lower Wraxall just along the road from South Wraxall. The buildings are all quite old and most picturesque, having all been built in local stone. There are some lovely footpaths and walks around the area. South Wraxall manor just up the road was owned by Sir Walter Long who sat in the 'Farmers' room and with his close friend Sir Walter Raleigh smoked the first ever two pipefuls of tobacco in England. The rest as they say is history! Sir Walter Long was regrettably executed, not for smoking, but for treason against James 1st. The manor now is owned by John Taylor the bass player of Duran Duran and his wife Gela Nash. They live here whenever the band is in the UK. Please place the cache back into the same position after finding and logging. All these caches may be found on the outside of the relevant icon, there are none inside.
