Rubber Ducky in Hobbit Land Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MainePublisher: All geocache placements must have a responsive owner. The cache owner must be able to respond to issues that come up and to submit an "owner maintenance" log to remove the "needs maintenance" icon.

In addition to the "needs maintenance" logs and DNF logs, Goundspeak also uses a Health Score algorithm. https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713

In this case, Groundspeak has sent an email to the cache owner with no response. The cache owner did not respond to any of the cachers hoping to find the cache and did not respond to the reviewer note so the cache is now archived.

The cache location is now open for any Geocacher to place a new cache, including the original cache owner.

Geocache Description:

There can be quite a lot of uphill to this cache, and many roots on the trail which require attention

This cache is on the Vaughns Woods nature trails. It is a camo 1 qt ZipLoc container. Easiest access is from the back of Halldale High School. Park near the tennis courts and the trail starts on the left of the courts beside the fence.Walk uphill to where the trail forks. Take the left trail toward the turnpike to the cache.

You can also access from Middle Street in Hallowell. This trail is quite a bit longer. After crossing the bridge, the trail forks. Take the right trail uphill to where it forks (about .61 mi.) Stay right toward the turnpike to the cache.

When you can see the turnpike traffic, you'll have to climb over a big ole beech tree lying across the trail Cache is about 60+' down trail and about 15' from the trail on the left.

I edited the clue because the coords seem to jump around under the heavy cover.

Congratulations to Gob-ler for a FTF
