This is a nice little park in
Vancouver that gets no notice. You will find a great place to
picnic and let the kid’s work of some steam. The coordinates listed
are where you start your adventure, but not where the cache is
located. Please note all bearings use magnetic
north.
Operation: Critter
Chase
Can you
find this critter’s cache? It should not be too hard, but you
will have follow his trail exactly to get to the secret
location. At the starting position stop and take a good look
around, for this is where your adventure begins. You will need
to walk 158 feet at a bearing of: The number of swings times
the number of picnic tables plus 112.
Well, if you did that right you should be looking at the critter’s
first activity. I am sure he went up there. I would not bother
looking for his secret stash here, but go on up. On the way count
the number of steps. Now, don’t be counting the platform as a step.
If you are brave take the quick way down. From here walk 334 feet
at a bearing of: The number of steps times 10, plus the number of
picnic tables times 30 and add 28. Now move out!
Well here we are. We are here right? Ok count the number of long
boards, but don’t bother to look for secrets here. I am sure that
pesky critter is long gone by now. Walk 215 feet at a bearing of
the number of boards times 10. Wait! Subtract 21 from that bearing
and be on your way.
Could the cache be here? It looks like a place where a critter
would hide his stash. Actually, don’t waste your time looking
around here. He may have had a snack here though. The tree does
kind of look like a fork. How many teeth does it have? Walk 311
feet at a bearing of the teeth times 100. But before you go be sure
to subtract 18 from that bearing or you will not get there.
Congratulations! You have made it to the
critter’s secret hiding place. This is a critter themed cache
so please take a critter, but if you do please leave one
behind. See the hint if you get stuck. You are looking for a
Lock'n'Lock 5x4 camouflaged container. Please make sure you
put it back just as you found it. Thanks for
playing!
