Heartland Cacher: Greetings I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear the Cache Owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache. Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing. The cache will be archived and removed from the active cache listings.

For your safety, please make sure that you are comletely pulled off of the main Highway

After deciding on a design, Harvey Jackson, Gillette Artist, divided an image into 286 smaller parts. He invited the citizens of Campbell County to sort of "paint by number" on 4-foot by 10-foot sheets of metal strewn on the floor of a warehouse. That is how hundreds of painters were able to safely leave their footprints on something that is now vertical and more than 50 feet in the air. The 3,000 sq. ft. mural, at a cost of $190,000, was installed in the summer of 2004. Campbell County depends on coal mines, the trains that carry the minerals, oil and gas production and traditional ranching that helped establish Gillette. Each is represented in this tribute. The mural is barely visible after dark. This is a remake of a prior cache that has been archived. I so enjoyed the history of this mural that I had to put out another cache. You will need a pencil & tweezers.
