Geocache Description:

This cache is located on a small peninsula off of Lake Maury near Riverside Hospital. You can reach this one from land or enjoy a nice 3 mile (roundtrip) boat or canoe ride to the cache from The Mariners' Museum. When traveling by water, please look up other caches in the area that are accessible only by boat or canoe to make your trip worthwhile. Please bring your own pen. We were unable to find a pen small enough to fit in the cache. BYOP

If you plan to go by land, please be very careful! Depending on how you approach this cache, you may have to travel down a very steep slope or walk through mud. Rope may come in handy when attempting the slope. Also, watch out for the animal holes on the slope.

If you plan to go by water you may rent a boat or canoe for $5/hr at the coordinates listed below Friday - Sunday from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm. Try to rent something that does not sit too low in the water. There are some shallow parts to this cache. Here is some information about the rentals they offer:

Boats are only available during the warmer months of the year. This is usually from March – October.

This area only allows boats, canoes, and paddleboats rented from The Mariner's Museum.

Be sure to bring your camera with you. This is a beautiful area with a lot of wildlife.

Please be careful when opening this cache. Items may fall out and into the water.
