Die „Flieger- und Glockenstadt Laucha an der Unstrut“ ist eine Stadt im Saale-Unstrut-Weinanbaugebiet im Süden Sachsen-Anhalts. Die Cachesuche führt entlang der gut erhaltenen Stadtmauer über 5 Stationen zum Zwergenschatz.
„The glider and bell city Laucha/Unstrut“ is a city in the Saale-Unstrut winegrowing area in the south of Saxonia-Anhalt. The cacheway leads along the well received wall of town across 5 stations to the final.
Geschichtliches
Der Herrgott von Laucha in der Marienkirche aus dem 13. Jahrhundert steht für Tradition und Alter. An der Salz- und Kupferstraße gelegen, hatten die Lauchaer die Hoffnung, Freie Reichsstadt wie Augsburg oder Nürnberg zu werden – was nicht ganz gelang. Rathaus und Marienkirche zeugen heute noch von den großen Absichten.
Anno 1409 verlieh König Wenzel Luchow Stadtrecht und Stadtwappen.
Am 28. August 1631 durchbrachen Tillsche Horden, Holtsche Jäger und 1000 Pappenheimsche Reiter die Tore, überstiegen die Mauern und brachten große Not durch Raub, Mord, Brand und Weiberschändung.
1731 erbot sich der Glockengießermeister Johann Georg Ulrich aus Hirschberg in Hessen der Stadt eine Glocke zu gießen. Zur Fertigung des Glockenmantels erbat er sich: 16 Karren Lehm, 40 Pfund Flachs und guten Hanf, 24 Pfund Unschlitt, 6 Pfund Wachs, 40 Pfund Kuhhaare und 6 Schock Eier.
Ein „echter Lauchaer“ ist als Bürger nur, wer ein Haus innerhalb der Stadtmauer, einen Weinberg und einen Pelz besitzt.

The “God of Laucha” in the Mary-Church from the 13-th century stands for tradition and age. Von der ersten Position aus siehst Du in Richtung Süden ein Gebäude mit einer zweiseitigen Freitreppe. Das Baujahr am Turm sei ABCD. Zu empfehlen ist eine Besichtigung der nebenstehenden Marienkirche. Wenn sie geöffnet ist direkt – ansonsten gibt es am Ende einen Hinweis zu Kontakten.

Begib dich weiter entlang der Stadtmauer mit Ziel Unstrut zu N51 13,573 E11 40,E68. Der höchste Wasserstand an der Pegelsäule war im Jahr FGHI - aber keine Angst, seit dem Bau des Staubeckens bei Straußfurt ist die Unstrut gebändigt.

Du stehst vor einem Gebäude der Wasserwirtschaft. Über den Fluss sind Seile gespannt. Die Zahl der Zuggewichte am Seil sei JK und ist mit guten Augen erkennbar - alternativ zurück zur Schleuse und über’s Feld – oder schwimmen – oder doch besser zum Augenarzt!
Das markante Gebäude am Hang ist die ehemalige „Reichssegelflugschule“ am Flugplatz Laucha-Dorndorf.
