Geocache Description:

Please be careful while searching. The Winds arE SomeThing fierce. Don't get Stuck wIthout a paDdlE.

A long, long time ago… at a camp in another lifetime… lived a noble Skipper born in Scotland named Mac. He fearlessly piloted the Silver Spray and ferried passengers up and down Lake George through even the worst of storms. His tenacious nature was bred early in his career, as John Paul Jones was his mentor.

Mac was fresh out of the Naval Academy and was at the helm giving another great tour when a ferocious north wind threatened to capsize the Silver Spray. Had it not been for his amazing ability on the bridge, the boat and all aboard would have been crushed among the rocks. The only casualty of the incident was Skipper Mac’s Captain Hat, which was blown off and clear of the boat.

Today, Skipper Mac’s great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandson continues the tradition of giving great Silver Spray tours to guests of a camp on Lake George… all the while searching for Skipper Mac’s Long Lost Hat.
