Geocache Description:

the cache is situatated in littleburn wood on the outskirts of
munlochy village on the black isle there is good car parking to be
had at 57 33.138N 4 16.478W good net work of paths that are good
underfoot although sensible footware advised the cache is 10min
walk from the carpark and clootie well is 2min walk

Clootie wells (also Cloutie or Cloughtie wells) are places of pilgrimage in Celtic areas. They are wells or springs, almost always with a tree growing beside them, where strips of cloth or rags have been left, usually tied to the branches of the tree as part of a healing ritual. In Scots nomenclature, a "clootie" or "cloot" is a strip of cloth or rag. the cache is a tupperware container with log book and various
little bits and pieces inside
