Get to the cache from the trailhead located across the street from the entrance to the Upper Payette campground. Cache is about .25 mile hike from trailhead. There is a day use area you can park in right inside the campground.
Container is a camouflaged round jar - no need to get wet. Cache was placed on our 1st annual "Nutty Nut Family Camp" -we camped and played for 4 days and decided this area needed another cache. The hike is easy (we had a 3 year old along who made it the whole way there and back) It is in a beautiful setting with a waterfall (spring runoff) and wooden bridges.
If you go to camp, the weekdays usually have some spots available - but if you want to go and camp on a weekend, reserve a spot in advance.
We have 2 families who placed this, who visit McCall several times a year to help maintain this cache as needed.
