There are several islands called Honkasaari in Kuopio. This particular Honkasaari is located near the spit of Itkonniemi. Close by there is also a beach in Itkonniemi, waterworks and yacht club.
To reach this cache in summertime you need good swimming skills or a boat (inflatable boat will do just fine). In wintertime make sure the ice layer is thick enough. It is not recommended to try to reach this cache alone.

Kuopiossa on useita Honkasaari nimisiä saaria. Tämä Honkasaari sijaitsee lähellä Itkonniemen kärkeä. Lähistöllä on myös uimaranta Itkonniemessä, vesilaitos ja pursiseura.
Kesäaikaan päästäksesi kätkölle tarvitset hyvän uimataidon tai veneen (kumivene riittää). Talvella voit mennä jäätä pitkin, mutta varmista jään paksuus. Yksinkätköily ei ole suositeltavaa.
