Geocache Description:

Very pedestrian friendly nature walk along a Bay.

CAPTAIN ED says: YOU GOT TO STOOP TO GET THE LOOT
NOTE: THIS Multi-CACHE DETAIL HAS BEEN UPDATED JAN. 2015! Toys for your Dog to play with at the Cache! PLEASE contribute to the DOG-TOY CHEST, ie Tennis Ball.
1. Park in the Visitors Lot. Entrance to the lot is at 30 22.784’N, 86 19.801’W just before the Gate on Sandestin Boulevard North off Hwy 98.
2. Walk to the Bus Stop Building at 30 22.814’N, 86 19.758’
3. Take a bearing from the Bus Stop: 345 true and walk 0.18 miles.
4. When you reached the 0.18-mile you are about to enter a BLACK GATE - DON'T. STOP; turn sharply 90 degrees to Starboard.(many have dared to go beyond the BLACK GATE; never to be seen again)
5. Look around and up while ‘stooped’ to find the Lat/Long to the next Waypoint, which bears 018 true, 0.52 miles as the bat flies.
6. Also, take a bearing of 60 true and make a mental picture of what is on this bearing. This will help later.
7. You now have to choose if you want to swim the 0.52 miles (not recommended) or walk about 1,313.06 Smoots (plus or minus a few ears), or 87,908.2 inches to the waypoint you just stooped for. It is a very nice walk over wetland, lakes, tidal basins, etc. Very pedestrian friendly!
8. You have made it to the Waypoint when you are in front of two yellow Fish Feeding Stations. (DO NOT feed the Alligators, especially Fred)
9. Again, you need to stoop to get the next Waypoint. Also take a bearing 147 true, Distance 0.15 miles (as the alligators swim) to acquaint you with the approximate position of the next Waypoint.
10. Climb up the ‘Penthouse’ (mind your head and gap). And yes, you need to stoop ('over' this time) for the Waypoint info, which will lead to the Loot eventually. This next Waypoint bears 232 true, 0.04937365007 Nautical Mile distant.
11. 6 Palm trees in a circle mean you are very close to the WP. At the WP take a bearing 199 true; Distance 0.25 miles. Intersect this bearing with the bearing you took at the first station (remember you were to remember it?) The intersection will REVEAL the location of the Cache. Again you can swim (definitely not recommended at this point ‘cause of Fred) or walk a circuitous route of about 3689.32 feet with an elevation change from 0.451 ft over 39.875 ft to sea level. The Cache is about 3 feet above sea level.
12. HINT – Along the walk you will NOT see signs ‘Jolee’, ‘Barefoot’, 'Pirate'; used to 'till some Jerk tore 'em down. For pictures go to this Website: http://web.me.com/cwiesneth/Geocaching/Captain_Eds_Cache.html
13. The Cache is directly under the Captain’s name and under the Galley.THE CACHE WAS IN PLACE 25 JAN. 2015!
14. Follow Captain Ed’s advise: don’t take a long walk on a short pier, take only pictures, leave only tracks and Yes; you got to stoop for the loot! FINALLY: Go on YouTube for a 60 second Video from beginning to end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGx0AHASeF8
