Ladybrook Valley Trail is a 10 mile trail from South Manchester, using suburban green waterside corridors from near the Mersey at Cheadle and Cheadle Hume, into the countryside to reach Lyme Park, Disley along the brook whose name changes along the way: Micker Brook, Lady Brook, Norbury Brook and, beyond the Trail to its source, Bollinhurst Brook. It passes the Happy Valley Nature Reserve, glimpses Poynton Lake, and crosses the Macclesfield Canal at Middlewood. Bramall Hall, one of Cheshire's grandest black and white timber-framed Tudor buildings, is also near the route at Bramhall Park. Source: The Long Distance Walkers Association.
This 1st section is 2 1/2 mile walk that links the Mersey Stride series, and Bramall Park series.
The trail starts in Cheadle, and it follows the path of Micker Brook to Bramall Park.
Parking is available at N53.23.686 W002.13.027. Church Street car park, Cheadle, adjacent to “The Dead Hard Cache 2”.
The trail is a combination of street, river, and field paths. There are some narrow stiles which are difficult for bicycles.
Some of the caches can be accessed as drive bys.
This cache is located just off the main path, up a bank, and is a small container.
