Short Walk by the Songo River
This cache is located a short (+/- 0.3 mi) walk on relatively level trails along the Songo River in Naples. There is parking for 1-2 vehicles at N43 55.569 W 070 34.657 on Thompson Point Road. This walk goes by a section of the Songo River between the locks and Sebago Lake. During the summer, you may see lots of boat traffic as you near the cache site. At other times of the year it is usually quiet and peaceful here. Part of the walk takes you next to portions of the Songo that are cut off from the main river.
When the trail forks, stay left to stay near the water or go right to take the woodsy route. The trail is a loop from this point, so either choice will take you to the cache. Things to look for: on the left fork - there is a letterbox along the way that we found by accident. on the right fork - look for the cars that have been abandoned in the river.
Cache is in a camo'd four cup lock 'n' lock container.
