Deer Print Lake is one of many small lakes in the sand country of Douglas County. It is located in forest crop land, growing trees that provides pulp and lumber for industry, tax revenue for the county, habitat for wildlife, and recreational use for the public. Activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, birding, and of course, geocaching!
The cache is an ammo box located near the lake and a short hike from the parking area off of County Hwy A. There are usually ducks on the lake and there is a beaver lodge on the west shore. Early morning and late evening are good times to see deer too.
Be sure to wear blaze orange during hunting season.
